El pasado sábado 01 de julio, el Club Estrella de Curicó, viajo a la ciudad de Rancagua para tomar parte en la competencia de gimnasia artística representando a la ciudad y a la Corporación de Deportes local.
El campeonato “COPA LA CRUZ”, fue organizado por el Colegio La Cruz de Rancagua y se desarrolló en una jornada, con 7 equipos conformados por escuelas formativas y gimnastas pertenecientes a clubes deportivos de la zona.
En la oportunidad participaron equipos de alto nivel como Colegio La Cruz de Rancagua, Instituto Inglés de Rancagua, Colegio la República Rancagua, Colegio Leonardo Da Vinci, Colegio Trinity College Rancagua, Colegio San Miguel San Vicente y Club Estrella de Curicó.
El campeonato se realizó en dos grandes categorías, hubo premiación para las gimnastas de escuelas formativas y la otra categoría para gimnastas de Club donde participaron las representantes de Curicó.
PREMIACIÓN POR APARATOS (barras, suelo, salto y viga los 3 primeros lugares) all round (ranking de las 12 mejores gimnastas del campeonato por el mayor puntaje sumando los 4 aparatos), en él de las 9 niñas en competencia de la ciudad de Curicó, 8 fueron premiadas en esta individual).
El medallero final quedó con 26 medallas para el club Estrella de Curicó, obteniendo una destacada participación en el campeonato.
Desatacar que la copa solo era disputada por la categoría escuela formativa no por clubes.
